A very rare Randall & Co. Cin Ohio. #13
I have never seen another vise like it in my 30 years collecting antique tools.
It is in very good condition,  no cracks breaks or welds.
The jaws are in great condition moves smoothly and no problems.
It has 7.5" wide jaws, as can be seen in the pictures the jaw lifts up for a better grip.
it weighs 50#
the dovetail at the widest is 4.5"
Overall length is 17"

I've been watching your piece and wanted to give you some insight to it. It's actually a leather-workers tool called a "Combination Loop Box" used for forming cheek loop boxes, which are the loops that would hold straps out of the way on harness used with draft horse teams and such. The user would have a wood or steel mold that the leather is wrapped around and the curved jaw would push it down into the corner. They could also install patterned plates around the leather to decoratively emboss it in the same step. These would replace the standard smooth plates currently on the piece.
Randall is actually the oldest side of our company, Campbell Randall machinery Co. The "Randall & Co." name was used from 1858 up to around 1905 or so when it became the "J.D. Randall Co.", to give you an idea of the age.
