The slicer runs just fine and at this point could be used immediately in MANUAL mode. The AUTOMATIC mode doesn't seem to be working. There's a good possibility it does work if someone with experience in this sort of equipment were to engage it. Or it may need servicing to make the AUTOMATIC mode functional. There's no problem with switching the lever from MANUAL to AUTOMATIC but it just doesn't do anything when you do - blade keeps spinning and it just seems to stay in MANUAL mode.
Also, blade spins nice and smooth and straight, but there is a very slight syncopated (evenly timed, not rattling) knocking / ticking noise - NOT loud. Our OPINION is it's either a loose bearing or the bearings need to be greased.

ther than these two issues the slicer seems functional and solid. The feeder arm slides back and forth smoothly and firmly, depth setter responds perfectly, everything else we've tried on it has worked just fine. Anything else in its condition can be seen in the photos.
