RESTORED DUNLAP VISE 3V7627 USA ANTIQUE 180 DEG.SWIVEL BASE ANVIL VINTAGE 3 1/8

Description

Vintage Dunlap 3V 7627 bench vise.

Jaws are about 3 1/8" wide that open to 3 1/2" max operating width.  Has a built-in pipe holder in the casting below the jaws.
The jaws have a couple mm gap even when closed so if you need a vise that cinches anything thinner than a couple mm, this is not for you.  However, if you're in need of a third hand to grip something wider than a couple mm, this vise is for you.
No putty or mud was used in the restoration of this vise.  I do my best to grind off some of the casting marks on the backs of the jaws but that's about it.  I do not believe in using body filler or putty on a vise.  I strip it down to raw metal, grind down all the marks and gouges on the top of the jaws for polishing, and that's about it before acetone and paint.
Nice little hobby vise great for light duty work.  Weighs 9 lbs.
4 coats of Blue Lagoon paint were sprayed on this vise.

The last photo is of the side where you could see the faded Dunlap decal.  Dunlap did not bother to stamp or mark anything on these other than the bottom casting of the base with the 3V 7627 stamp.
