Sept. 20, 1848 issue (Vol. 13, No. 22) of the Emancipator and Free Soil Press, edited by Curtis C. Nichols, published by Nichols & Co. (Boston), large folio, 4 pages. Formerly the Emancipator, the paper changed its name with this issue to more closely ally itself with the Free Soil Party. It published under this title through the Nov. 8 issue, after which it was retitled the Emancipator & Republican.

How I Pack:
Most books are packed in boxes with appropriate packing material. Thin volumes and ephemera are mailed in envelopes with stiffeners. Records are mailed in industry-standard cardboard mailers. All items are packed to withstand normal abuse during transportation.
